What else can we say about the new Balnarring Skate Park but WOW! What a ripper facility!
Little ripper Rhys Rogers continued his dominance in the 12’s wining yet another heat whilst Charlie Gruby scared off all the competition in the 16’s. The open BMX was one of the closest all series won by you know who (Jai Bradley). Check the insta clip of Jai & Matt here.
Mayor Antonella Celi made a speech for the ages & officially declared the new Balnarring Skate Park open for business! Now it was time for skating & oh boy weren’t we in for a treat! The skate heats saw the largest skate numbers in two seasons with a massive 46 competitors joining in the festivities that saw Geoff Cook come out retirement claiming 1st in the open with two killer runs & winding the clock back with a Switch 180 Nose-Grind down the hubba for the win! The future looks bright for young gun Zepp Hayes who tore the Balnarring bowl to shreds winning the 12’s whilst the defending champ Isaak Godfrey impressed the 16’s.
As the series draws closer to an epic conclusion at the Junction Skate Park the series will head to one of Victoria’s best Skate Parks this Saturday, The Frankston Skate Park followed by the Box Hill reschedule on Sunday!
