Membership helps skateboarding grow.

When you join Skateboarding Victoria, you become part of the recognised state network supporting skateboarding participation, education, events and community development.

Membership provides a formal connection to SV, access to relevant opportunities and services, and a way to contribute to the future of skateboarding. Training, accreditation and operational approvals are separate and may be required for particular roles.

How membership works

Choose the pathway that best reflects how you want to connect with Skateboarding Victoria—as an individual, a program delivery organisation or an industry partner.

Foundation$35 p.a.

For individuals

Associate Member

Associate Membership is the starting point for anyone joining SV directly or through an affiliated club. It is also required for people supporting SV or a club to deliver programs—as a staff member, coach, official, volunteer, administrator or club representative.

What it provides

  • Coverage under SV’s insurance arrangements when supporting authorised SV programs and events, subject to the applicable policy terms
  • Access to relevant SV member benefits, education programs, services and development opportunities
  • Early connection to future volunteering and employment opportunities with SV, affiliated clubs and the wider officials network
  • Individual voting rights as provided under the SV Constitution
  • A recognised pathway to contribute as a volunteer, administrator, official, coach or affiliate representative

Good to know: Membership is renewed annually. Role-specific checks, courses and conduct requirements apply where relevant.

Organisation$850 p.a.

For program delivery organisations

Affiliate Member – Delivery Partner

For clubs, skate schools and organisations seeking approval to deliver recognised SV programs, activities and services.

What it provides

  • Recognition as an approved SV Delivery Partner, with priority access to suitable delivery opportunities within an agreed location
  • Opportunities to deliver SV’s statewide competition and clinic series, along with other grant-supported programs and community initiatives
  • Promotion through SV’s website, social media channels and statewide networks, supported by approved templates, program resources and intellectual property
  • Professional indemnity, public liability and management liability cover for sanctioned SV programs and activities, subject to the applicable policy terms
  • Monthly SV provider meetings, shared learning and practical support across governance, workforce development and program delivery
  • SV support to identify funding opportunities and develop grant applications and submissions
  • Connections with councils, clubs and communities seeking a trusted local skateboarding delivery partner

Good to know: Approval considers the organisation’s capability, workforce, insurance, risk management and child-safety requirements.

For industry organisations

Affiliate Member – Industry Partner

For businesses and organisations that contribute products, infrastructure, expertise or services to Victoria’s skateboarding community.

What it provides

  • Formal recognition as part of Victoria’s statewide skateboarding network
  • Stronger connections with SV, affiliated clubs, councils, communities and sector partners
  • Opportunities to contribute specialist expertise, products and services to skateboarding initiatives
  • Opportunities to collaborate on projects, advocacy and initiatives that help grow skateboarding across Victoria
  • A direct relationship with SV and greater visibility of emerging sector needs and opportunities
