With skateboarding capturing Australia’s attention, Melbourne’s skate scene is ready to welcome new skaters. Managed by YMCA Victoria (the Y), Melbourne’s top skate parks are leading the charge, focusing on young girls and beginners.
Inspired by Australian skateboarders like Arisa Trew, the Y invites Melburnians of all ages and abilities to experience the community of skateboarding. Riverslide Skate Park, at the heart of Melbourne’s skate culture, offers several programs specifically for women and girls, promoting fun and social skating in a supportive environment.
