Skateboarding Victoria

Heat 2 of the Loddon Mallee & Hume heat was a special comp being the first to cross the border into NSW. We made use of the new concrete section for the comp. As is tradition the Scooter guys hit it up in the early part of the day. It was great to see a couple of the boys retuning from the Wodonga heat to shred the Moama park. Stand out of the day went to local shredder Nick Pratt who took out the opens with style.

It’s always great to see the skaters came out of the woodwork for these comps. It was on for young and old. Young shredders Jake McDonough and Hayley Wilson took out their respective divisions and continue to show style, trick selection and skills well beyond their years. Watch out for these two to dominate at future comps! Liam Reynolds was smashing out wallrides and tailslides on everything in sight to snatch the 16 & under win while Brad Saunders continued his effortless precision for first in the opens. Not bad for a kid who is still young enough to compete in the 12 & under division!

Big shouts go to everyone who helped out on the day in one way or another. Thanks to the local sponsors: Fearless EchucaFaktor EchucaDiamond Heart ClothingFight Your Fate Clothing, Moama Bakery, Moama Butchers, Dan and Dave Dundee, Ghanda and Chaddys Chicken. Thanks to the volunteers and guest judges and of course to both the Murray Shire and Shire of Campaspe for all their hard work prior and on the day!
