Skateboarding Victoria(SV) is recognised by the Victorian State Government as the peak body for skateboarding in Victoria.
SV fosters, encourages and promotes the sport of skateboarding throughout Victoria.
Strengthening Regional Community Sport 2024 to 2027
In collaboration with Sports and Recreation Victoria (SRV), SV will deliver programs, initiatives and events with funding from the “Strengthening Regional Community Sport 2024 to 2027” program by the Victorian Government.
Purpose of the association
The SV is established to develop, advocate for and/or provide the following:
- A series of credible competition pathways
- Grass roots participation programs, events, and services
- Grass roots to high-performance coaching pathways and services
Contribute to and sanction major skateboarding events supporting both amateur and professional skaters, where appropriate.
Build a thriving, inclusive, connected skate community, and sector, that benefits all Victorians.
Foster and support all forms of skating interdependently with members and/or others.
Lead best-practice policies and procedures for delivering high-quality
Ensuring Victorians have access to high-quality skate parks and participation programs by
- Developing a strong and innovative economy for all forms of skating.
- Having regard for the public interest in its operations, undertake other actions or activities where necessary, incidental, or conducive to advance these objectives.
