We got back to the inner burbs for Saturday’s NWS Heat 6 at Yarraville. It was a banger with some old faces returning to have a shred in their first heat of the season.
Jake McDonough can’t be stopped this year in the 12 & Unders Skate getting himself another top placing. His mix of street and transition shredding give him the ability to kill it at any park. He was closely followed by a stylish Jake Austin who was throwing out some beefy smith grinds across the back quarter.
Simo Dunn returned to the NWS in the 16 & Unders. It was no suprise he destroyed the park with a huge smile the whole time. Always a fun skater to watch.
The Female division was the toughest battle of the day. Super close scoring saw Manaia Huta edge herself into first place with Amelia Hitchcock and young shredder Charlotte Heath only a few points behind. It’s sick seeing so much talent in the Female division this year.
Last of the day was Open Males were we saw Jacob De-Leo continue his smooth runs taking third. He was edged out of second by a transition killing Jordan Burling. The win however went to Jesse Abrahams who has shown this season in both the NWS and LMHS that he will be a top contender come the National Finals.
